DAP Professional Spotlight: Meet Josh Waters

We chatted with Josh Waters from iVvy, the cloud-based event management software for venues of all sizes.
Josh recently completed his DAP certification via WalkMe’s Digital Adoption Institute and we are excited to share with you his unique perspective on being a DAP professional:
1. How did you become a DAP professional? And what problems were in the company that led to the creation of the DAP professional role?
I was trying to find another solution to remotely training our software via screen share. The lack of visual aid for the customer, and the repetitiveness for the trainers was not allowing us to scale our onboarding of new customers efficiently.I did some research and came across WalkMe, and instantly fell in love with the ability to provide on screen navigation and support to customers as they learn new software.
2. How is DAP used at your company?
We use WalkMe to provide shoutouts of important updates and new features to users. We then use a series of structured Smart Walk Thrus to guide customers through our natural training session, enabling them to work and onboard as fast as their schedule permits.
3. What have been the greatest successes in implementation and DAP usage at your company?
We have taken our traditional email campaign engagement rate from 3% to just over 60% by providing announcements from within the system.
We have also seen the onboarding process of some new customers who have embraced the DAP style of learning reduced from 6 weeks down to 2 weeks.
4. What are your biggest challenges as a DAP professional?
Ensuring that the solutions that we put in place not only have a positive ROI for the business, but also offer a strategic benefit to a wide range of our customers, without getting in the way of their day to day use of the system.
This challenge does also create an opportunity for us to develop bespoke solutions for individual customers using WalkMe’s segmentation rules.
5. What excites you the most about being a DAP professional?
I have a strong passion for helping people, and I have always said that I want to help as many people as possible at the same time. Becoming a DAP through the assistance of WalkMe has now allowed me to realize that goal, and I am excited to see our results reflected in the insights and analytics provided.
